Hard to get appointments with Dr. After 10 years of going this practice, they still don't know me by name. Dr and PA are good, but for the rest, not so much.

check out was not great. apparently our insurance policy number changed (after 15 hrs) and we were not aware of the change as of appt date. staff was rude and unhelpful at check out including billing manager. at a time when you are not feeling well and in pain, it was added stress to be told flatly that our insurance was invalid & we had to pay cash for the appt. Nobody even offered check our policy with as number.

i don't talk to people about their personal health very often but if asked to recommend a dr I would recommend this practice but i have never been asked that before

Morgan was very good at confirming she understood my concerns & questions, advising me what she proposed to do in response and checked to make sure I was in agreement. One item I would recommend is that the patient be given a list of items covered/actions to take post visit. There were several items I needed to do and wasn't sure if I remembered them all. As an illustration, at several of my doctors in Utah, the nurse assistant would return after the PA/Doctor with a printed form that read, "During today's visit we covered..." The form had primary reason for visit, test/lab results, lists of anything I needed to watch for as well as actions to take. I found these to be not only helpful right after the visit but also down-the-road when trying to recall medical info needed.

Privacy: some type if soundproofing or maybe music in rooms or something when medical staff not present... I could hear every word spoken between Morgan, her assistant and the two patients who came and left in the room next-door while I was there.Protection: The mask-wearing issues I already noted pertaining to Dee. Also, as I sat there, I looked at the hand sanitizer unit at exam room entrance and realized that I never noticed either Dee or Morgan use it. I've become very accustomed to medical staff sanitizing hands on the way in and the way out in past practices... and that was PRE-pandemic.Last... back to the forms again. While the front desk was careful to keep clean and used "dirty" pens separate, Dee took the clipboard & pen from me to do B/P. There were multiple pens on counter and she just grabbed one when giving me a form to complete.

Overall, experience was good. However, I do feel, a forms completion process review with patient experience in mind should be undertaken and that nurse assistant correct mask wearing must be addressed.

No delays. 2 items related to registration "forms" process that I found frustrating since I took the time to complete all the forms online several days before my appointment: 1) when I was left an appt reminder message the day before the message included instructions for me to go online and complete paperwork. The thought crossed my mind as to why I was being told to do something I already did. 2) Upon arriving I was given sheets to complete that were the same information I'd completed online although it was acknowledged that I'd already completed the online forms. I was further perplexed as to why bother to spend my time completing online forms when I was then verbally asked many of the questions in the exam room causing me to think, doesn't anyone bother to read the forms?'

I recently moved to Johns Island and I continue to go out of my way to see Dr. Knepper. He is so wonderful and so are his nurse and his PA. I have referred many people to him and will continue to do so.

the front staff does a great job making me feel safe during the pandemic. always wearing masks, having clean pens and dirty pens separated and labeled, one side for sick patients and one side for well patients, temperature checks, and social distancing. Great job!
